Two things decide whether a photograph survives being printed large: how many pixels it actually has, and how much of the frame the print shape throws away first.

What this tells you
How large it can go. Every standard size from 4×6 up to 24×36, marked against the two thresholds that matter: 300 dpi for a print you will hold, 150 dpi for one you will walk past.
What the crop costs. A camera shoots 3:2. An 8×10 is 5:4. Something has to go, and it is usually the part of the frame you liked. The preview shows exactly which part.
Whether the file has been through something. A photo that has been messaged, re-saved, or pulled off social media will often come back at a fraction of the resolution it started with. This is the quickest way to find out before you order.
