Wedding Photography in Lincoln, NE

An Omaha studio that works Lincoln constantly — and does not bill you for the drive.

Silent Scene Studios is based in Omaha, and we shoot most weeks somewhere between the Old Market and the Haymarket. Lincoln is not an away game for us. Our coverage is statewide and there is no travel fee inside 60 miles of Omaha, so a Lincoln Saturday costs a Lincoln couple exactly what an Omaha Saturday costs an Omaha one.

We are a bilingual studio. Every part of this — the consultation, the planning, the day, the gallery — can happen in English or entirely in español.

Where we shoot here

Two lists, kept honestly separate. The first is the Lincoln-area spots we name as favourites in our own wedding guide. The second is where we take couples and families for portraits — they are not wedding venues and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

Lincoln-area favourites

Sunken Gardens
Consistently ranked among the best gardens in the country, and the Lincoln location we return to most. Terraced flowerbeds and a fountain give you a formal, built-in composition, and the floral display changes every season — a May date and a September date produce two genuinely different galleries. Spring and early summer are when it is at its most photogenic.
The Bay
One of our Lincoln-area favourites. We have worked it; we will walk it with you ahead of the date rather than describe light we have not measured on your timeline.
Indigo Bridge Books
The third of the Lincoln spots we name in our wedding guide — small, particular and better suited to an intimate guest count than a ballroom crowd.

Portrait & engagement locations

Pioneers Park & the Nature Center
Wide open prairie, tall grasses and rustic wooden fences, plus trails through the Nature Center. It is stunning at golden hour and it is our first suggestion for couples and families who want something natural and earthy rather than manicured.
Holmes Lake Park
Lakeside trails and open green space that stay photogenic in all four seasons — the easiest Lincoln location to book late in the year without the pictures looking like a compromise.
University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus
Brick architecture and tree-lined walks make the campus a surprisingly versatile portrait backdrop, which is why it carries senior sessions, engagement sessions and graduation portraits equally well.
The Haymarket District
Lincoln’s answer to the Old Market, with its own distinct charm. Brick and street frontage that works for lifestyle and commercial frames, and the reason a downtown Lincoln engagement session never has to leave a four-block radius.

Quinceañeras, families and church milestones in Lincoln

A wedding is rarely the only date a Lincoln family books with us, and for plenty of families it is not the first one either.

Quinceañeras

Quinceañeras, communions and cultural celebrations get the same coverage and the same care as a wedding, and the whole team is bilingual. If the church ceremony and the salón are on the same day, that is one booking, not two.

Church & religious milestones

Baptisms, confirmations and first communions in Catholic parishes, Lutheran congregations and non-denominational churches. We coordinate with your officiant or church office first, and we shoot with full-frame cameras and fast primes chosen for exactly these low, mixed-light rooms. Book four to eight weeks out for smaller events, three to six months in spring and autumn.

Families & seniors

Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes across two or three spots in the same park or area, and you get 30+ professionally edited images in a private gallery within two weeks. Autumn is the busiest season in Nebraska and the good slots fill by August, so a September or October Lincoln session wants booking in summer.

How a Lincoln booking runs

  1. 01

    Send the date

Date, venue and what you are planning. We reply within 24 hours, in English or in español, and tell you straight away whether the date is open.

  2. 02

    Hold it early

Six to twelve months out for a wedding, and sooner for peak season, which runs May through October. Religious ceremonies with a fixed date — a confirmation, a baptism, a first communion — want four to eight weeks minimum, three to six months in peak season.

  3. 03

    Plan the day

We map the timeline, the locations and the shot list with you, and we build a weather backup at booking so there is already a covered option on the table before the forecast matters.

  4. 04

    Shoot day in Lincoln

We drive in early. Two camera bodies on every wedding, full-frame cameras and fast prime lenses for the dim end of the day — the same kit that gets us clean frames inside a church sanctuary.

  5. 05

    Gallery

Weddings and events land within four to six weeks; portrait sessions within two. Private online gallery, no watermarks, no expiry, print ordering built in.

Lincoln, specifically

You are based in Omaha — do you charge a travel fee to shoot in Lincoln?

No. Our published coverage is statewide with no travel fee inside 60 miles of Omaha, and Lincoln sits well inside that radius. A Lincoln wedding is priced exactly the same as an Omaha one.

How often do you actually shoot in Lincoln?

Constantly. We are an Omaha studio, but we shoot most weeks somewhere between the Old Market and the Haymarket. Sunken Gardens, Indigo Bridge Books and The Bay are all favourites of ours in the Lincoln area, and Pioneers Park, Holmes Lake and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus are regular portrait stops.

Do you photograph quinceañeras and church milestones in Lincoln?

Yes, and they are some of our favourite events to document. Quinceañeras, baptisms, confirmations and first communions all get the same coverage and the same care as a wedding. We have worked in Catholic parishes, Lutheran congregations and non-denominational churches across Omaha and Lincoln, and we coordinate with your officiant or church office beforehand so we know the photography rules before we walk in.

What does a Lincoln wedding cost?

Wedding collections start at $1,500. Across the wider Omaha–Lincoln market, wedding photography runs from about $1,500 on the low end to $5,000 and up for premium full-day coverage. Payment plans are available — planes de pago disponibles — split across the months between booking and your date, with no interest and no extra fee.

Can we add a portrait session in Lincoln to our booking?

Yes. Every wedding collection includes an engagement or preparation session, and we are happy to shoot it in Lincoln — Pioneers Park at golden hour and the Sunken Gardens in spring are the two we suggest most. Standalone portrait sessions run 60 to 90 minutes, cover two to three spots within the same park or area, and deliver 30+ professionally edited images within two weeks.
